DMS 437 Physical Principles of Ultrasound and Instrumentation II (3)

Continuation of Physical Principles of Ultrasound and Instrumentation I. The course focuses on beam and image artifacts, Doppler effects, system performance testing, bioeffects, advanced concepts, pressure transmission, plethysmography, pressure measurements and principles involved in vascular sonography. Emphasizes the different uses of sonography in the clinical setting and operation of equipment. Prerequisite: DMS 436.
