Academic Probation
A student will be placed on academic probation for any of the following circumstances:
- A student fails to achieve a cumulative GPA of 2.0;
- A student in the professional phase of the degree plan fails a course in the program.
Academic probation serves as a notice to the student that his/her continued enrollment in Baptist College is subject to the remedy of a GPA below 2.0 or a failing grade in the professional program.
Following a course failure in the professional phase of the degree plan, a student's continued enrollment will also be subject to satisfactory performance in all subsequent professional courses in the program.
Students will be advised of their probationary status by letter with a copy distributed to their assigned academic advisor.
