Community Service for BCHS Students

Baptist College students community service

There are numerous opportunities for you to be involved in community service and charitable activities while a nursing student or allied health student at Baptist College. The Office of Student Services, in alliance with the Student Government Association's Vice President of Community Service, keeps the students at BCHS updated on opportunities for Community Service, and the agencies around town with ongoing volunteer needs. Many of these places have positions available on both a permanent and part-time basis to help students fulfill their community service obligations for classes or scholarships.

Baptist College has an ongoing relationship and commitment to Baptist Operation Outreach that provides health care  and other services to the homeless population of Memphis. In addition, there are many annual events that BCHS helps promote and sponsor. Be on the lookout for details about these throughout the year.

Students interested in giving time and service to worthy organizations should contact the SGA at 572-2484, or Jeremy Wilkes, Director of Student Services and Housing, at 572-2670.
