Job Placement Rates
Job Placement Rates The Nursing Program at Baptist College is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), which mandates tracking of employment rates for graduates. Based on this requirement, the following benchmark was set by the faculty: 75% of graduating seniors who are seeking employment will be employed in nursing at graduation. Job placement data are collected by surveying students at graduation. Employment rates are reported and trended by trimester and academic year. The overall rates for the past four years are as follows: Academic Year Employment Rate (measured at graduation) 11-12 64.19% 10-11 75.26% 09-10 46.32% 08-09 81.25% Employment rates have fluctuated over the past four years with the slow economic turn-around and changing health care arena. Anecdotal data has shown that graduates are maintaining their current employment through graduation before seeking employment in nursing. To better capture data related to job placement, the benchmark will be expanded to measure employment 3-4 months post-graduation beginning 2012-2013.
